The Permian Basin GPA has awarded scholarships to deserving college students for many years. We have worked closely with the engineering departments of Texas Tech University, New Mexico State University, New Mexico Tech University, and University of Texas Permian Basin, to seek out Permian Basin juniors and seniors that express a possible interest in a career in the gas processing industry after college graduation. The funds for these scholarships come from chapter fund raising activities, primarily our Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, Event Raffles and our Annual Shrimp Boil held in conjunction with the PBGPA Annual Meeting.
